Privacy Policy
Privacy, dignity, and consent come first.
This page is maintained by the Rejoinery app owner to answer common privacy questions about the family and friends finder. It is not a legal certification, and it should be reviewed by the app owner’s legal advisor before public launch.
Information we collect
Account details, seeker profile details, family-search stories, approximate dates and places, optional physical traits, uploaded or typed notes, payment status, messages, reports, and contact-share decisions.
How information is used
Information is used to help rank possible matches, show limited previews, support paid unlocks, open conversations, request contact disclosure, review safety reports, and support staff-assisted next steps when appropriate.
Limited previews before payment
Before unlock, candidates see only limited, redacted information such as initials, broad location details, approximate dates, and matching reasons. Full contact details are not shown at this stage.
Contact sharing and consent
Paying to unlock a profile allows conversation access and additional profile details, but email or direct contact information stays hidden until the other person approves contact sharing in the conversation.
Safety and misuse prevention
Reports, blocks, suspicious activity, identity-theft concerns, harassment, fraud, or criminal activity may be reviewed by administrators and may lead to restrictions, removal, or escalation to the proper support channel.
Payments
Payment processing is handled through a trusted payment provider. The app stores payment status needed to prevent duplicate unlocks and to keep access available after successful payment.
Retention and deletion
Users can edit seeker profiles and account details. Deletion or privacy requests should be sent to the app owner’s support channel. Some records may be retained when needed for safety, dispute, fraud-prevention, or legal reasons.
Children and sensitive searches
The app is intended for responsible family-search use. Users should avoid posting highly sensitive details about minors unless they have proper authority and a safe, lawful reason to do so.
